The following Sunday he read again the same column and noticed similar performance by the same player.
So he asked one of his best scouts on the team to find out who this Nikola Jokic guy was.
To his surprise, however, the scout did not know him because of Nikola Jokic was overwight and he was not even among the top 100 players of his age in Serbia!
From that moment on, Miško Ražnatović stalked Jokic to see if he is good because he is simply more athletic than his opponents or because he was a real talent.
When he finally realized that Nikola Jokic not only was not the most athletic but the least athletic, he sent his town a scouter and told him not to come back if Jokic doesn’t sign with his team!
So finally, the 15-year-old Nikola Jokic signed a contract with Mega and within a few months he became one of the best players on the team.
Nikola Jokic almost signed in Barcelona
The owner of Mega BC, Miško Ražnatović, revealed that he had reached an agreement with Barcelona’s team to hand over Nikola Jockic.
However, the deal ended up being broken because in the last game he played for Mega didn’t play well, something that convinced Barcelona’s owner to back off at the last minute!
